The crown jewel of Prairie Lake Ranch is the well established 30 Ac +/- lake which provides not only aesthetics, but good fishing and outstanding waterfowl hunting throughout the winter migration. The opportunity to create truly epic waterfowl hunting rests in the fact that the lake is large enough to allow large numbers of ducks and geese to raft up during the day and the far end fingers into shallower waters sought after by feeding puddle ducks like Mallards, Pintails, Wigeons, Gadwalls, and Teal. The surrounding farms feature row crops of corn, milo, and soy beans further encouraging waterfowl activity. Furthermore, with some intentionality and management the fishery on such a well established lake could provide year round fishing for family and friends alike.
Whitetail deer travel nearby Ash Creek and wander across the pastures of the ranch thus creating some additional opportunity for hunting. Multiple ponds provide water for livestock and potential for fishing.
