Why Search by Radius is a Game-Changer

The search by radius feature offers unparalleled precision and convenience for users who need detailed, location-specific information. Here’s why this new feature is incredibly beneficial:

  • Targeted Searches: Focus your search on a specific geographic area to find relevant properties or sales.

How Different Users Can Benefit from the Search by Radius Feature

Farmers

Farmers often look for land within a manageable distance from their home property to minimize the challenges of transporting heavy equipment. With the Search by Radius feature, farmers can set their home property as the center point and define a radius that aligns with their logistical preferences. For instance, if a farmer wants to find land within a 20-mile radius of their home, this feature will quickly identify all relevant properties within that area, saving time and effort.

Property Owners and Realtors

For property owners and realtors, proximity to certain areas can be crucial for marketing and sales strategies. Imagine a realtor wanting to advertise a new property listing to nearby residents. By using the Search by Radius feature, they can set the center point at the property’s location and define a radius that covers the neighboring areas. This allows them to identify and reach out to potential buyers who are most likely to be interested.

Commercial and Energy Developers

Commercial developers and energy developers often need to find properties near specific infrastructure like electrical transmission lines or substations. For example, an energy developer can use the Search by Radius feature to set the center point near a substation and define a radius that covers the surrounding area. This helps identify properties suitable for development within the desired proximity to critical infrastructure.

How to Access and Use the Search by Radius Feature

Accessing and using the Search by Radius feature on AcreValue is simple and intuitive. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  • Open AcreValue: Navigate to the AcreValue website and open the map view.
  • Access Filters Section: Click on the "More" filters button located at the right-end side of the map navigation bar, right above the map.
  • Activate Search by Radius: Select the search by radius option. A visible radius will drop onto the map, and the tool will automatically set the center point to the middle of your current map view.
  • View Results: The map will display all parcels within the defined radius. Adjust the radius or center point as needed to refine your search.
  • Adjust Radius or Center Point: You can change the radius distance or move the center point to refine your search. If you need to change the radius, edit the radius value. If you need to set a new center point, move your map, then select the “Place New Point” button. To apply your changes and re-run the search, select the "Redo Search" button. The results will update to reflect the new center point and radius distance.
